Was senior statistician in pharma and medicines regulation before establishing the first health technology assessment (HTA) agency in Scotland in 2000. Since 2003, she has had a portfolio career, specialising in HTA, real-world evidence (RWE) and patient involvement. In 2005, she founded the HTA international Interest Group for Patient Involvement. In 2017, established a new Welsh HTA body with innovative patient involvement processes and later worked with Czechia to develop their processes. She is lead editor of books on Patient Involvement in HTA and currently senior HTA advisor at Utrecht and Oxford universities for international RWE and HTA projects.
